It is recommended that all children aged 6 + attend a CGC - Core General Class. This is essential in order for all LJDA pupils to achieve a good technical standard in a variety of dance styles.

 

Four core subjects are taught: Ballet, Contemporary, Modern and Tap;

Our Acrobatic, Contortion and Aerial classes are hugely popular and are most beneficial when taken alongside our core general classes.

In addition to the core subjects more relaxed styles including Commercial dance are offered where there is more emphasis on personal expression and interpretation.

We also have Musical Theatre for pupils who like to sing and act too. MT pupils get the chance to perform tracks and scenes from well know musicals and shows.

Through our classes pupils become aware of the importance of presentation and performance in dance, encouraging self-esteem and boosting confidence. Whilst these classes are paramount to ensure pupil success, they are all taught in a fun and friendly way by dedicated, professional dance teachers whose priority is always the pupil.
